Lots of you are wondering which Lightroom application is best for you – Lightroom Classic (which is the newer subscription-version of Lightroom 6) or the streamlined cloud-based Lightroom (CC). Watch the 80-minute recording from my recent webinar to learn what they have in common, how they differ, and to get my perspective on the two. I give you a tour of the cloud-based Lightroom, show you how Classic differs, and I discuss pricing and plans and other factors to consider such as internet connectivity requirements.

Another great video Laura. I suspect that Adobe will not offer any solution for crashing caused by the facial recognition DLL has forced me to the Y in the road requiring me to choose a path forward from my perpetual Lr6.14. Having started with LR3 and your Seattle classroom training. Which was as usual, excellent.
Your video here and my years of investment in LR knowledge of weighs heavily towards subscribing to Lightroom Classic. I have since 2017 also subscribed to On1, Topaz, Luminar, and most recently Luminar AI. All have useful feature and and various pros and cons. The bottom line, comes down to the catalogue module. It galls me that I will likely have to purchase product from a company that continues to under perform in terms of customer support.
I love your Dogs and I have an eight year old Doddle which is the spitting image of your rust colour family member. I wish you much prosperity, health and happiness this coming year Laura.
Doug Stead.
Good to hear from you, Doug! You’re correct, Adobe will not offer a solution, as they no longer support Lightroom 6, which is six years old now. Selfishly I hope you go with Lightroom Classic, since that would mean you’ll still find value in following me.
Doodles are such great dogs! Mine bring me no end of joy and comfort. My rust boy is now a taupe boy, but he’s still adorable.
Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy new year!
Laura
