I used the image below in a a post on exposure a few months back. A reader asked me to show how I developed the image, so I have produced a video showing my technique. Click HERE to view it.
To develop this image, I use the Basic, Tone Curve and HSL panels, as well as the spot removal tool, adjustment brush and graduated filter.

I am truly amazed by your process Laura. I’m not sure how it will looked printed, but it looks great on my monitor. The process is totally different from what I’m used to applying myself. Ive never used the saturation sliders or the blacks slider for anything much. I tried your workflow on some skies that I had exposed to the right. I did start with recovery first to get slight blowouts back and then tried your workflow. They were spectacular and probably backgrounds I would have dumped using my normal workflow. Thanks for the terrific ideas.
Thank you, Bob, I am glad that it was useful to you and others who have commented here. I should have mentioned that in general I would have started with Exposure (which was already perfect in this image), moved to Recovery to recover blown out highlights (which there were none), and then moved on to Blacks. I also didn’t address white balance — ideally, once I had adjusted blacks, brightness and contrast so that I could appreciate what I had in the image, I would gone back up to white balance, to consider warming up or cooling down the image with the Temp slider (or removing any green/magenta cast with Tint — which wasn’t the case here).
